Join Us in Making a Difference: Volunteer to Sort Clothing for Ricochet Shelter
Why We Need You
Every day, Ricochet Shelter opens its doors to individuals and families in need of safe housing and support. With the shelter growing, so has the generosity of our community—donations of clothing continue to pour in! These donations are essential, but before they can reach the people who need them most, they must be sorted, organized, and made ready to use!
This is where you can make a difference. By giving just a little of your time, you can help ensure that clothing donations quickly reach those who need them.
What You’ll Do
As a volunteer, you’ll help sort donated (washed) clothing into categories like men’s, women’s, accessories, etc. You’ll be creating order out of chaos—making it easier for Ricochet’s team to distribute items quickly and efficiently. It’s hands-on, practical work that directly impacts lives.
The best part? It’s flexible. Whether you’re available during the day, in the evening, or on weekends, there’s a spot for you. And if you can only help once, that’s completely fine—every shift counts.
How to Get Involved
Getting started is simple:
- Choose a time slot that works for you (daytime, evening, or weekend).
- Show up ready to help—comfortable clothing and a willing heart are all you need.
- See the impact your efforts have as sorted clothing gets distributed to those staying at Ricochet Shelter.

*Ricochet is one of our local mission partners; we alot funds from our mission budget annually that has helped with meals and equipment (e.g. replaced freezer in 2024) and participate in collections during the year (e.g. winter clothes and summer jeans and joggers in 2025)
