Many Christians sit with Jesus by reading and reflecting on scripture regularly so they can listen to God through scripture and spend time reflecting, praying and discerning with Him through the help of the Holy Spirit.
The following reading plan is a 2 year plan that tracks the lectionary (from Advent to Pentecost) and the Daily Office.
This plan starts during Advent rather than January, but you can join in anytime of the year.
Daily you'll find a scripture from the Old Testament, Epistles (letters), and the Gospels.
The beauty of this is that each day you'll end reading from Jesus or something about Jesus.
While there's no psalms listed, it's very easy to add a psalm or more per day.
You can buy* this plan in book or digital format HERE.

When you approach scripture we encourage you to slow down so you can listen to God's voice in Scripture and allow his Spirit to shape you. Here's a simple 3 movements you can incorporate:
- Silence (be still before God, your Heavenly Father)
- Scripture (slowly and attentively read through the chosen scripture, imagine yourself sitting with Jesus who is the Word, John 1:1)
- Surrender (take a few minutes to allow the Holy Spirit to help you process and keep with you)
