Church@Home THIS Sunday

CHURCH@HOME book ends our our Summer Schedule, where we encourage people to connect online or host group or throw a BBQ.

THIS Sunday*, June 29 there is NO in-person gathering. Instead, we're hosting a simplified online gathering where you can participate on your own OR invite some WSGers and friends over.

CONNECT ONLINE HERE

  • we'll post the video at Sunday 9AM - HERE - then available on demand
  • we'll also post as a livestream at 11AM - HERE or on Facebook
  • see below for reflection or group questions

OPTIONS...

Turn it into a coffee hang out, BBQ or watch on your own and then meet up at a local park.

We know of at least one home hosting a group in pointe-claire south including a pool and bbq - email Joan Wight for details and how you can participate.

If you're one of our fully invest always around passionate ministry volunteers, you might want to join with friends OR participate quietly at home.

WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH OR CATCH UP LATTER?

This Sunday's online gathering will introduce our summer series in the Beatitudes - the gateway to the Sermon on the Mount (one of Jesus' most famous teachings). We'll be introducing the big idea and invitation of the beatitudes and then reflect on each one during our gatherings in July and August with a variety of speakers. Don't forget - we are hosting only ONE gathering from July 6 to August 24.

* our next church@home Sunday will be on August 31

(Questions for Reflection or Group Discussion)

  1. How would you describe the overall theme of the beatitudes? (v.3-10; consider them as a whole)
  2. How would you describe the spiritual state of the disciples? The crowds? How might each respond differently to Jesus’ message
  3. Which speaks to you personally? Why?
  4. Where is the good news in the beatitudes?
